Governor's Priorities

Governor Kirk Paul continues to work to establish 100% School Safety. He will continue to provide funding for all State Schools to ensure that they have the tools, equipment and systems in place to prevent further school safety breaches, incidents and tragedies. He will continue to work to insure a quick law enforcement response to an active shooter through program changes and implementations. He will also create and sign several legislative bills like the one signed on June 17, 2022 which will require gun owners to report when a purchase, sale, transfer or trade in of a fire arm, when living within 15 miles of any Local School in an attempt to prevent school tragedies and to remain a step ahead of the violent individuals.

This is Governor Kirk Paul's first priority and continues to work towards the end goal, and that being complete school safety.

Priority Number Two, includes establishing statutes to ensure that the Mesian Health Care System works for all Mesians and ensure a happier, healthier life for all Mesians. Governor Paul's plans include signing legislation that penalizes health care companies for not properly taking care of and covering health care expenses, and forcing high deducitibles. His plan also includes strengthening the State's Healtcare system by overhauling the existing system and creating more affordable and more accessible healthcare coverage.
