Governor Paul Addresses The Termination Of AG Brittany Martin

On April 13, 2023, I terminated State Attorney General Brittany Martin for negligence of duties, violating civil rights, civil liberties and falsely accusing individuals of crimes that they had no part in. Her termination is effective on Thursday, April 20, 2023. Many people will be angered by this decision but it was decision best to ensure equal and fair justice is served in this country. She has continued to investigate several people, including me, with no purpose or evidence to prove that dozens of people ever committed crimes.

Her termination will leave a vacancy, and in accordance with Mesa Constitution Article, Subsection 1, I will appoint Tim Jefferson as her replacement. He will be confirmed by the State Senate on April 25, 2023.
